It is one of the cities with rich and affluent cultural, historical, architectural and religious attachments. The fascinating tombs and forts of the Mughal dynasty can be easily observed in and around the city of Agra. There are also other monuments that are famous for their significance in Agra.

The Taj Mahal, often referred as the "Crown of Palaces" is a marvel creation of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It was built by him in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is an integrated complex of structures purely made of white marbles. As a whole, its eye catching beauty and delicacy mesmerizes the world wide tourists.



The 16th century monument, the Agra Fort is yet another proof of the architectural brilliance of Mughals. This is situated near the gardens of the world famous Taj Mahal. You will be awe inspired by the powerful fortress. The fort is semi-circular shaped, flattened on the east with a long, nearly straight wall facing the river. Its breath-taking view proves the efficacy of the Mughal emperors.



Fatehpur Sikri or 'the City of Victory' is a fortified city in Agra. It was founded in 1569 by the Great Emperor of the Mughal dynasty Akbar. The palace city atop a rocky ridge, confined within walls on its three sides and a lake in the foreground.It is built with red sandstone which makes the monument more impressive and magnificent.

The Mausoleum of Etimadud Daulah was built by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir. It is also called the "Baby Taj", as its unique architectural style was later replicated in the world-famous Taj Mahal. The Tomb of Itmadud Daulah is a highly ornate edifice. It is indeed worthy to have a visit to this historical masterpiece of Nur Jahan.

We all love to travel at various places and explore the world. Yes, some of us may not be fond of travelling but most of the people are and that’s the reason holidays are planned near any tourist place. 

Travelling not only refreshes our mind but also it increases our knowledge. We meet new people; get to know new places and just wonder how beautiful the world is outside us. This world is a bunch of several states, continents and countries and every place has its own beauty.

a) Aga Khan Palace:  It is one of the well known destinations in Pune and it is a perfect place for remembrance of traditional Indian architecture as well as excellence. This palace is surrounded by green gardens from all sides. It is one of the reminders of royal past of this magnificent city. 

b) Osho Ashram:  It is one of the most craved institutions for meditation as well as personnel development. It is situated on the outskirts of the city near Koregaon park, 40 minutes away from Mumbai. 

This Ashram was founded by Osho Rajneesh; a spiritual guru who is well known for his meditation techniques. 

c) Guru Nanak Darbar:  This amazing tourist place is situated at Pimpri which is located nearly 18 kms away from Pune station. One can take local transportation to reach to this place. The Darbar starts at 5:30 am with bhajan and kirtan and every Thursday there’s Bhandara ( Food serving to all people visiting Darbar)

d)   The Bund Garden:   It is located on the banks of the rivers Mula and Mutha is another place of tourist attraction. One can enjoy the beautiful flowers in the garden and also take boat rides while relaxing with one's family on a holiday. Similarly Appu Ghar is also a big attraction for the kids there and one must not miss it at any cost.

e)   Dagduseth Halwai Ganesh Temple: The temple is dedicated to the Hindu God Ganesha is also very famous in Pune and devotees from all over India come to visit it to offer prayers to the deity of prosperity. During Ganesh Chaturthi the place is thing to behold. It is decorated and a whole lot of money is spent in making the prasadam to be distributed among all.

Apart from all this the Shaniwar wada palace fort , Saras Baag, Parvati hills,Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park are some more interesting places to visit.Mulshi Lake and Dam , Darshan museum and the Peacock bay again are a must for tourists. Jaipur the Beautiful Pink City of India – An Amazing Place to Visit

Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City is the largest city and India’s first planned city in Rajasthan. This city was established by Jai Singh II in eighteen century in the year 1727. It is one of the greatest tourist spot for Indians as well as tourist from all over the world. It was formerly the capital of Kachwaha rulers and because of it, it represent wide tourism destination that attracts tourist from all around the globe and make them admire the amazing beauty of the monument and palaces. Jaipur is also among the tourist Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Jaipur is remarked as Pink City because of its colored buildings which were painted in pink to intimate the rich architecture of Mughal cities.


City Palace: 

     It is located in the middle of the city, occupying about one seventh of the total area of the city. The palace is mixture of Mughal and Rajput Architecture. The structure is a seven storied with Chandra Mahal in the centre.  It has art gallery paintings of mughal, rajasthani and persian schools. There is a beautiful peacock gate that shows detailed craftsman ship and the level of skill that the architecture had at that time. There is museum, wide spread art gallery and several royal costumes and even old weapons that were used by warriors.


Hawa Mahal: 

      Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built the Hawa Mahal in 1799. It is among the most recognizable and popular Jaipur monument. It is a 5 storied beautiful monument having near about 152 windows over hanging balconies depicting fine piece of Rajput architecture and that’s the reason why it was named as hawa mahal. The actual reason why it was designed was for the royal ladies to enjoy several activities and processions that used to take place on the street below. The special feature of the newly setup museum is the “Jaipur past and present” display.




Jantar Mantar Observatory: 

    The Marvelous Jantar Mantar was built between 1727-1734 by King Jai Singh 2, it literally means “calculation instrument”. It is more than collection of sculptures, each structure has a special astronomical function and thus an important place for astronomers. There are total 14 structures which are used to measure time, track stars and predict eclipses. The huge Samrat Yanta sundial is among the most impressive one among all.

Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh – A Mixture of Diversified Culture in India

Gwalior, a famous tourism place located in the heart of Madhya Pradesh covering a wide area of 122 Km. The history of this city is traced back to the legend Suraj Sen of 8th century. It is said that he was stuck by a deadly disease and after a lot of effort he was cured by a saint Gwalipa and as a gratitude for this he founded this city with the name Gwalior.  Gwalior is an important historical tourism place among several others in Madhya Pradesh.  There are plenty of tourism places, museums and beautiful monuments that attracts tourist from all over the world. A great mixture of several dynasties of Rajputana such as Kachwahas, Tomars and praiharas has left an incredible remark on the places, temples and monuments of the city.  The touch of glorious past history of Gwalior has been preserved with lots of care, thus giving Gwalior a unique place in best historical places.



Although there are several places that one can visit while coming to Gwalior but there are some places that make an impact to the visitor and leave a good memories of these places even after they leave this Gwalior. Some of those important places are:

1.   Gwalior Fort: It is one of the important sightseeing places in Gwalior. It is believed that this fort have been developed by Raja Suraj Sen around 420 years ago. The outer wall is about 35 meters in height and covers approximately 3.2 Km (near about 2 miles) in length.  Most of the important improvements were done by Raja Man Singh Tomar of Tomar dynasty. This fort although being old is structurally among the safe forts of India.  There is a steep road that takes you to the fort, both of the side of the road have rock cut path and several statues of Jain gods.




2.   Man Mandir Palace: This beautiful palace is also famous by its name Chitra Mandir and the palace of paintings because of painted tiles and decorations. It is among the renowned palaces in India known for its beautiful color, material and its word class design which exhibits a sense of joy. It was also built by Man Singh Tomar in between the year 1486 – 1516. 


3.   Sas-Bahu Temples: The Sas-Bahu temples are the adjoining temples that are in the fort. It is not dedicated to mother-in-law (Sas) and daughter in law (Bahu) as most of us suggest or think about on reading the name. Both the temples are of different sizes. Most important part of this temple is its roof which has a wonderful carved lotus temple, even its interior is beautifully decorated that attract many tourists from worldwide. This temple experiences a lot of crowd throughout the year.

VARANASI - Historical and Holy City of India, One of the Important Place while Visit in U.P.

Varanasi, Banaras or Kashi, there are several names by which this place is known worldwide. It has been one of the greatest religious places for Hindus from long ages. The name Varanasi was originated from two popular rivers names: the Varuna, which is still flowing in Varanasi and Assi (Which is not visible anymore but a small Nalla near Assi ghat which was once Assi river). This holy city is located around the Ganges River, in Uttar Pradesh State of India. People have the believe that river Ganga has the power to wash the sins of all living beings. It is among the oldest cities in the world and is believed to be the place of Lord Shiva and Parvati. 

It is said that Lord Buddha preached his first even sermon at Sarnath, which is just 10 K.m. from Varanasi City. The name Kashi has even been mentioned in Rig-Veda (One of the oldest Sculptures in World), this city has become famous because of its temples and old learning places where philosophy, culture, knowledge and Crafts are given more importance. These all are integral part of Varanasi and are the things that make this historical city unique from others.


Because of its number of temples Mrs. Annie Besant selected Varanasi as the home for her world renowned “Theosophical Society”. The biggest university in Asia i.e. Benaras Hindu University which was build by Pandit madan Mohan Malviya is also one of the places to visit in Varanasi. It is supposed that Ayurveda (Medicine created with natural products) major inventions have been done here. Varanasi also comes into focus because of its increasing trade and commerce business, especially for smooth silks. It has always been associated with promoting Sanskrit, Yoga and spiritualism all around the world.   • Kashi Vishwanath Temple: The most popular temple of Varanasi, it is dedicated to the main god of the city, Kashi Vishwanath the other name for lord Shiva. This temple is dedicated to Vishwanath Jyotirlinga that is in the premises of the temple. This Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve most important Jyotirlingas in consideration to religious significance. The temple was covered by two beautiful domes which were of gold, donated by Punjab Kesari in 1839. According to the locals, view of burning Vishwanath Jyotirlinga is considered to be one of the sacred events.


  • Dasaswamedh Ghat: It is among one of the prominent ghats on the bank of Ganga River. It is visited by large number of tourist due to its religious importance of ten sacrificed horses. According to historical believes it is said that lord Brahma sacrified ten horses in order to allow lord Shiva return from banishment period. It is believed that the sacrifice of horses continued at the ghat by Bhara Shiva Naga rulers during second century.


  • Jantar Mantar: It is another popular tourism attraction in Varanasi. It was constructed by the Maharaja of Jaipur Jai Singh in 1737. His passion and interest towards astronomy led to the establishment of this huge building. For constructing this type of monument he sent his scholars worldwide to study the construction and design of various foreign observations. This building was constructed to measure the local time and the altitude of that place. It was also used to measure the declination of sun, stars, planets and to determine the period of eclipses.

  • Bharat Mata Temple: It is one of the temple constructed in 1936 by a Gandhian follower Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt, located in the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. It was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the shrine is dedicated to mother india and have marvelous marble structure. The temple is licated near the Ganga River and therefore gives a beautiful view of the ghats located nearby. The temple is in shape of pentagonal cone, supported by five pillars.  


  •  Banaras Hindu University (BHU): BHU is the largest residential university in Asia, with more than 15,000 students residing in the campus. It was founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in 1916.The campus is spread over more than 2760 acre campus, having 140 teaching departments. Several of its colleges such as IT – BHU( Engineering), IMS – BHU (Medicine), science, naturopathy and management studies are among top ranked colleges in the country. One can see the statue of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya while entering into the gate of BHU.
